1. The "Glow" Factor (The Clays)

• French Pink Clay: This is the gentlest of all clays. It draws out impurities and lightly exfoliates without stripping your skin's natural oils, making it perfect for sensitive or dry types.

• White Kaolin Clay: Known for its "slip," it gives the soap a silkier lather and helps refine skin texture.

2. The Moisture Trifecta (The Oils)

• Organic Shea Butter: High in vitamins A and E, it acts as an emollient that softens and hydrates.

• Olive Oil: Contains squalene, which mimics your skin's natural sebum, providing a protective moisture barrier.

This scent blend is sophisticated and "garden-fresh." It moves away from the medicinal smell of basic soaps and leans into a high-end apothecary or luxury spa vibe.

Top Note: Herbaceous Lavender

The first thing you’ll smell is the familiar, clean, and calming scent of lavender. It provides an immediate sense of relaxation and "lightness" to the bar.

• Heart Note: Rosy Geranium

As the water hits the soap, the floral heart opens up. Geranium has a green, rose-like scent that is punchier and more vibrant than a traditional rose, giving the soap a "fresh-cut flower" energy.

• Base Note: Earthy Clary Sage

This is what makes the blend "expensive" smelling. Clary sage adds a nutty, slightly musky, and tea-like undertone. It grounds the florals, preventing them from being too sweet or "grandma-ish."

Why use Clary Sage essential oil in soap?

The "Scent Fixative"

One of the biggest challenges in cold process soap is that citrus and light floral scents often "cook out" or fade during the curing process.  

• The Science: Clary Sage has a heavier molecular weight than Lavender.

• The Result: It acts as a natural fixative, anchoring the lighter Lavender and Geranium notes so the soap actually smells amazing months after it’s made.

2. Sebum Regulation (Oil Control)

Clary Sage contains an ester called linalyl acetate.  

• This compound is famous for its ability to balance the skin's natural oils.

• If your skin is too oily, it helps dial it back; if it’s too dry, it helps encourage natural moisture. This makes your soap "smart"—working for multiple skin types.

3. Anti-Inflammatory & Antimicrobial

Clary Sage is naturally antiseptic. When combined with the French Pink Clay in your recipe, it helps to:  

• Deep-clean pores.

• Reduce the appearance of redness or "puffiness" in the skin.

• Prevent minor breakouts without the harshness of tea tree oil.

4. The "Euphoric" Aromatherapy

In aromatherapy, Clary Sage is known as a "euphoric" oil.  

• Unlike Lavender, which is purely sedative (makes you sleepy), Clary Sage is calming yet uplifting.

• It helps reduce cortisol levels (the stress hormone), making your morning shower feel like a mental reset rather than just a chore.

How to Use

Lather with warm water and massage into skin. Our unscented formula is enriched with natural sugars and proteins—allow the lather to remain on the skin for 30 seconds before rinsing for maximum hydration.

• Patch Test Recommended: If you have sensitive skin or allergies, we recommend performing a small patch test on your inner forearm before full-body use.

• Surface Safety: Because this soap contains natural oils, it may make your tub or shower floor slightly slippery. Use caution when stepping in and out.

Care Instructions

Because this soap is made the old-fashioned way, it’s a little different than the "big brand" bars. This bar contains natural glycerin, which attracts moisture. To extend the life of your soap, always use a draining soap dish and allow the bar to dry completely between uses.
