Beeswax is not a filler it’s a functional ingredient in dish soap. Beeswax acts primarily as a hardening agent in solid dish soap, increasing the bar's density, longevity, and durability against water. It stops your bar from turning into “Mush”.

This is a cold process dish soap.

How to use:

1.     Swirl: Wet your sponge, cloth or dish brush and rub directly onto the soap to create a rich lather.

2.     Scrub: Wash your dishes as usual, a little goes a long way!

3.     Save: Keep the dish soap dry for a lasting bar.

Care Instructions:

Solid dish soap is a great eco-friendly alternative to liquid, but because it’s highly concentrated, it requires a little "tough love" to make it last.

Here is how to keep your solid dish soap in peak condition:

1. Let it Breathe

The golden rule for solid soap is drainage. If the soap sits in a pool of water, it will become soft, "mushy," and dissolve much faster than intended. 

Avoid standing water: make sure to pour out any excess water after each use.

2. Keep it Dry Between Uses

For maximum longevity, try to keep the soap away from the direct "splash zone" of the sink.

• Air Dry: Between dish-washing sessions, let the block air dry completely. This hardens the surface and ensures it lasts for several months.

3. End-of-Life Care

When the soap gets down to a small, thin sliver that’s hard to rub a brush against:

• The Jar Method: Place the remaining bits in a small jar with a little warm water to create a concentrated liquid soap for one last round of cleaning. Or you can use a sisal soap saver bag.

Trying to decide between beeswax solid dish soap and soy wax solid dish soap?

In solid dish soap, soy wax is generally superior for enhancing performance by providing a harder, longer-lasting bar with a dense, creamy, and stable lather. Beeswax increases bar hardness but adds limited lathering benefits and is more expensive. 

Soy wax in Dish Soap

• Performance: Creates a very hard, durable bar with a "shaving-cream" like, stable lather.
• Benefits: Affordable, plant-based, vegan, and reduces warping/shrinkage in soap bars.
• Downside: Low cleansing power on its own, so it requires blending with high-cleansing oils like coconut oil. 

Beeswax in Dish Soap

• Performance: Significantly increases bar hardness, helping the soap last longer and not melt quickly in water.
• Benefits: Natural, non-toxic, and creates a dense texture.
• Downside: More expensive, not vegan, and does not add significant foaming/cleaning power.

This soap was designed specifically for a customer who could not use soy wax. I decided to make it available to everyone as an alternative to my other dish soap recipe.
